The 17mm f/1.2 PRO is an optical masterpiece, featuring one of the most complex designs in the Micro Four Thirds world with 15 elements in 11 groups. It utilizes a newly developed ED-DSA (Extra-low Dispersion Dual Super Aspherical) element, which allows the lens to remain compact while effectively correcting for chromatic aberrations, distortion, and color bleeding. To ensure high-contrast imagery in backlit conditions, the glass is treated with Z Coating Nano, significantly reducing ghosting and flare. The lens is built for the professional field with an IPX1-rated splash-proof, dust-proof, and freeze-proof (down to -10°C) construction. For tactile control, it features the signature Manual Focus Clutch, which reveals a distance scale when pulled back, and a customizable L-Fn button. The MSC (Movie & Still Compatible) autofocus system is near-instantaneous and whisper-quiet, making it as proficient for cinematic video as it is for high-speed street photography. With a minimum focusing distance of 20cm, it also allows for dramatic close-ups with a respectable 0.3x (full-frame equivalent) magnification.
