The 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO is engineered to deliver prime-lens quality across its entire zoom range. Its advanced optical design consists of 16 elements in 10 groups, including an impressive array of specialized glass: 1 Aspherical, 1 SED (Super Extra-low Dispersion), 3 ED, and 1 HD element. This combination ensures that chromatic aberration and distortion are virtually non-existent, even when shooting wide open. The glass is treated with ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coating to eliminate ghosting and flare in challenging light. Durability and speed are the hallmarks of this lens. It features a robust, all-metal, weather-sealed construction that is splash, dust, and freeze-proof (IPX1 rated). The unique Dual VCM AF system uses two linear motors to drive two separate lens groups, resulting in autofocus that is not only near-instant but also incredibly quiet and precise for both stills and video. For tactile control, it includes the Manual Focus Clutch for instant switching to manual focus and a customizable L-Fn button. Unlike many telephoto zooms, it features an internal zoom mechanism, so the physical length of the lens remains constant, maintaining perfect balance on your camera at all times.
