The 7-14mm f/2.8 PRO is engineered to provide edge-to-edge sharpness even at its widest setting. Its sophisticated optical design features 14 elements in 11 groups, including 3 Super ED elements, 1 ED element, and 2 EDA elements to virtually eliminate chromatic aberration and coma—a vital feature for night sky photography. The glass is treated with ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coating to effectively manage ghosting and flare, which is particularly challenging with the lens's bulbous front element. Built for the rigors of professional use, the lens features a robust, all-metal construction that is IPX1-rated for splash, dust, and freeze-proof performance. It includes the signature Manual Focus Clutch, allowing users to snap the focus ring back to reveal a distance scale for precise manual control. A customizable L-Fn button on the side of the barrel allows for instant access to camera settings. Additionally, the lens features an integrated petal-shaped hood that protects the front element and helps prevent stray light from entering the optics. With a minimum working distance of just 7.5cm, it also allows for dramatic ultra-wide close-up shots with unique perspectives.
